Daily Jewellery Care Tips

A little care goes a long way in keeping your Jewellery radiant.

  • Put your Jewellery on after makeup, perfume, and lotion, let it be the final touch.

  • Take it off before bedtime to prevent any damage.

  • Avoid wearing solitaires while swimming or exercising, as sweat and chlorine can dull the sparkle.

  • Keep Jewellery away from harsh chemicals, they can fade its shine and loosen its setting over time.

How to Clean Your Jewellery Properly

With the right touch and proper cleaning, your Jewellery shines like the day you got it.

  • Use a soft cloth to gently clean any tarnish or discoloration. This method is safe for most Jewellery pieces and helps maintain their shine without causing damage.

  • Let your piece breathe. Dry it up completely before storing it in a clean and dry place.

  • To use a kit, spray a gentle Jewellery cleaner onto your piece and use a tiny brush to reach the tiny crevices. Gently scrub in a circular motion to remove any dirt buildup.

HOW TO STORE YOUR Jewellery THE RIGHT WAY

Protect your Jewellery from climate, tangles, and tarnish by storing them the right way.

DIVIDE AND RULE

Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or a lined Jewellery Box.

PREVENT TANGLES

Close the clasps and lay necklaces flat or hang them to prevent knots.

CONTROL HUMIDITY

Use anti-tarnish strips or silica gel packs in your Jewelry Box.

INDIVIDUAL CARE

Opt for thoughtful storage options, such as individual pouches for each diamond piece.

WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST Jewellery CARE MISTAKES TO AVOID?

It’s not the wear that weakens your Jewellery, it’s how you care for it.

Avoid soaking delicate diamonds in soap and water, as it can leave residue and dull their shine.

Gently wipe them with a soft cloth or use a diamond-safe cleaner to preserve their sparkle without causing harm.

Don’t use toothpaste to clean as it scratches diamonds and their metal settings over time.

Use a Gentle Jewellery Cleaner instead.

Storing jewelry in spaces with poor air circulation can trap moisture and lead to tarnishing.

Wrap each piece in anti-tarnish cloth or keep it in an airtight pouch with silica gel.

Tangled Necklaces?

Place the necklace on a clean, flat surface so you can clearly see the knot. Sprinkle a small amount of baby powder over the tangled area to reduce friction between the links, or apply a tiny drop of coconut or olive oil to help the chain move more freely. Using a fine pin or needle, gently loosen the outer edges of the knot first and slowly work your way toward the centre. Avoid pulling or stretching the chain, as this can weaken delicate links. Once the knot has opened, wipe the necklace gently with a soft, clean cloth to remove any remaining powder or oil.

Ring Too Tight?

Fingers can naturally swell in hot weather, after exercise, or later in the day, making a ring feel tighter than usual. Soak your hand in cool water for a few minutes to help reduce the swelling, then keep your hand elevated above heart level for a short while. Avoid pulling or forcing the ring off, as this may irritate the skin and increase swelling. Once your finger feels more relaxed, gently twist the ring from side to side while slowly working it off.

Wobbly Stones?

If you notice a stone moving, rattling, or feeling loose in its setting, stop wearing the jewellery until it can be professionally inspected and repaired. Continuing to wear it may loosen the setting further and increase the risk of losing the stone completely. Avoid pressing, twisting, or trying to tighten the stone yourself. Keep the piece safely stored in a soft pouch or jewellery box and take it to a trusted jeweller as soon as possible so the prongs or setting can be properly secured.
